Just a decade back one would have witnessed mothers, aunts or some other members of family to drink lime water or apply cut pieces of lemon on the face. Some even make a concoction of honey, besan (gram flour), lemon juice with a dash of fresh milk and then apply on the face and leave it on for half an hour. The end result has been wonderful for those who did take care of their skin and body.
In this age and time, young adults have become more conscious of their looks and overall health due to which they are going to great extent to take care of it. The understanding has been that taking care of just skin in silo would not bring in the desired effect on one’s overall looks and presence. A healthy body leads to a healthy mind and the outcome of both results in a glowing and hydrated skin.
Several factors affect the skin and skin being the first line of health defense, deserves to be nurtured and protected. While considering skin care, one should be aware of the environment that one is exposed to. Basis which a daily health and skin care routine involving balanced diet, fitness plan and adequate hydration maybe adapted to gain overall well-being.
Surely a routine or rather a regime needs to be designed and followed religiously for all young adults who are in their 20s.
A not so heavy guide for skincare routine may involve, daily-
•Exercise. Could be sprint, jog or walk and bit of stretching;
•Cleaning. Proper cleansing, exfoliating at least once a week, Moisturize two times a day;
•Balanced diet. The better you eat, the better your skin will look;
•Hydrate. Drink enough water, use oil before bath or otherwise depending on skin tone, use only gentle natural soap/ bath gel;
•Protect. Use sun screen every day, cover up properly while out in the sun, try and limit going out when the sun is at its most intense;
•A happy mind leads to a happy skin. Meditation and yoga goes a long way to achieve all round improvement to skin care routine.
Apart from the above routine, a right mix of products that one would need to know and use is of utmost importance. Just because there are new products coming up every day, one should not start experimenting as that may lead to loss on whatever gain that has been in terms of proper healthy and glowing skin. Knowledge regarding products mix, how they work together, what benefits the skin, and most importantly the order in which to use them is incredibly important when developing a skincare routine that is best for you.
